The Severn Valley Railway has announced that steam locomotive 75069’s overhaul is nearing completion as it returned to steam today.
The Standard 4 locomotive last carried passengers in 1994, before being withdrawn for an overhaul.
The overhaul of the locomotive has taken place at Bridgnorth Locomotive Works and will soon be carrying passengers between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth via Bewdley, Arley and Hampton Loade.
The overhaul is now in its final stages, and it is hoped that the locomotive will be complete by the end of 2018.
Doesn’t she look superb!
