On the 18th December 2018, the Northern Belle train ran from Coventry to Chester and back.
George Jones captured these excellent images of the train passing through Wrexham General station on the Welsh Borders in some pretty poor weather.
The Northern Belle operation has recently been transferred to West Coast Railways from Direct Rail Services.
The locomotives for this tour were two Class 57s, 57314 leading the train through Wrexham and 57313 was on the rear.
The train passed Wrexham General just 3 minutes late but managed to make its scheduled arrival time at Chester.
Thanks once again to George Jones for capturing these images!
