The timings for steam locomotive 70000 Britannia’s first mainline run since overhaul work has been confirmed.
70000 Britannia has been running in after repair work at the Severn Valley Railway, but now it is time for its light engine mainline test run.
Britannia will be on a light engine run from Kidderminster to Crewe on Thursday 18th October 2018.
Departing Kidderminster at 10:26, the Britannia locomotive will head via Stourbridge Junction (10:43), Perry Bar North Junction (11:45) and Bescot Up and Down Goods Loop (11:54).
From Bescot U & D G, the locomotive will head via Bushbury Junction D G L (12:32), Stafford (12:58), Madeley (13:15) and finally arriving into Crewe H.S. at 13:32.

The cancellation was literally at the last minute. Britannia, support coach and D1924 “Crewe Diesel Depot” were waiting at Kidderminster SVR to transfer to NR.

For anyone wondering about this working, it very recently got cancelled. 70000 hasn’t yet left the SVR.
