Dovetail Games have announced that their latest instalment in the Train Simulator series has been released today.
The big news this year is that it comes as standard with 64-bit technology, allowing the game to use more of your computer’s memory – meaning stability of the game will be much better.
Included in the base game this year are Salt Lake City, Frankfurt High Speed and Portsmouth Direct Line as standard.
The 64-bit architecture will also allow for more AI trains in scenarios when compared to 2018, which runs on 32-bit architecture.
As always, the upgrade for Train Simulator 2019 is free to existing players, however, although you will get the 64-bit upgrade, you won’t get the additional routes (unless you already own them of course).
For new players, a price for Train Simulator hasn’t yet been announced. However, the current game was priced at £24.99 – so we expect it to be around that price.

This is all very exciting and we can’t wait to get our hands on it!
