Nick Simpson, of the Grosmont M.P.D News Facebook group, has announced that steam locomotive No.75029 has had its boiler turned.

The reason behind this work taking place is to help the boiler shop in the overhaul of the locomotive.

75029’s boiler was first lifted from its wagon, before being slewed and lifted into position. Once in position, it was rolling twice to put it on its crown.

The locomotives smokebox was then removed before the boiler was finally lifted and positioned back on the wagon.
