Steam locomotive No.6233 Duchess of Sutherland will be back in steam on the mainline and will be in Burton-upon-Trent and Tamworth on Wednesday 19th September 2018.
The Duchess locomotive is on a light engine movement from Butterley M.R.C. to the Severn Valley Railway, for their Autumn Steam Gala next week. It is also the first time to see 6233 on the mainline after an overhaul.
The steam locomotives will depart Butterley M.R.C. at approximately 08:44 am.
The railtour will then leave Butterley, bound for the Severn Valley Railway, where it will pass through Langley Mill (08:59), Burton-upon-Trent (10:07), Tamworth (10:21), Walsall (11:05), Perry Barr North Jn (11:37), Galton Junction (11:55), and Stourbridge Junction (12:13).
The locomotive will arrive at the Severn Valley Railway at 12:29 and will then go to the MPD to prepare for the weekend ahead.
