School children win railway poster competition

Greater Anglia has announced that school pupils at Cantley Primary School have won prizes in the Wherry Lines Community Rail Partnership poster competition.

The school children sent in their ideas for railway posters as part of the Cantley & District Flower Show.

Arun Thompson and William Tate the first prizes for their submissions, both receiving book tokens.

The train operator is also providing Class 4 with a free trip on Wherry Lines train which runs between Norwich and Great Yarmouth / Lowestoft.

The artwork is now on display at Cantley rail station for the entire community to enjoy.

What did the officials say?

‘s Community Partnerships Manager, Paul Haynes, said:

“We are delighted to recognise the excellent standard of work by Class 4 with a free trip. The work of all the pupils who took part looks fantastic on display at Cantley and will help to make this lovely station even more welcoming for those who use it.”
