Luxury steam train in London this Wednesday – where and when to see it!

Steam locomotive 35028 Clan Line will be back in steam on the mainline and will be in London on Wednesday 5th August 2018.

The Merchant Navy locomotive is on a special railtour tomorrow. 35028 is hauling ‘The Belmond British Pullman’ railtour on Wednesday.

The steam locomotive will depart London Victoria at approximately 08:46 am.

The railtour will then leave London Victoria, bound for Bristol, where it will pass through Clapham Junction (09:00), Brentford (09:15), Ashford (09:29), and Ascot (09:52).

From Ascot, 35028 Clan Line will make stops at Reading (10:31) and Bath Spa (12:46) before arriving into Bristol Temple Meads at 13:10.

Passengers will then spend a couple of hours in Bristol, after which Clan Line will depart for London Victoria at 17:11. The train returns via Bath Spa (17:28), Swindon (18:06) and Reading (nonstop at 19:34) before it makes its final destination of London Victoria, where it will arrive at 21:36.
