The General Steam Navigation Locomotive Restoration Society have published an update on progress made on steam locomotive 35011 General Steam Navigation in August 2018.

Trailing Truck Spring Beams

Work has continued at North Bay Engineering Services on machining the spring beams to the correct dimensions. Once this work is completed, the Society should receive them in the next couple of weeks.

Working Weekend

Friday 28th to Sunday 30th of September are the dates for the next working weekend on 35011.

The main tasks will be to trial fit the newly-constructed parts such as the axle box covers.

The lamp is planned to be demonstrated on the sales stand when at railway events and galas.
