Arriva Trains Wales has announced that they will be running two special trains to give football fans get the chance to get to Cardiff for Wales’ next two matches.
Wales will take on the Republic of Ireland on Thursday 6th September 2018 in the new Nations League, before taking on the former world champions Spain the following month.
The trains thanks to a partnership with the Football Association of Wales.
Tickets are a flat rate of £47 for Adults and £23.50 for concessions via the FAW website.
The trains will call at:
- Holyhead
- Bangor
- Llandudno Junction
- Colwyn Bay
- Rhyl
- Flint
- Chester
- Wrexham General before running direct to Cardiff Central
What did the officials say?
Lucy Mason, Ticketing and Membership Manager for the FAW said:
“The FAW and FSF Cymru have been delighted with the previous Football Special train service for Cymru fans from North Wales provided by Arriva Trains Wales. It is brilliant that this service will operate once again for our Nations League match against the Republic of Ireland and the International Friendly against Spain.”
Arriva Trains Wales director Lynne Milligan said:
“It’s excellent news that we’ve been able to put on these services for fans again. Hopefully they will prove very popular and will give supporters from North Wales the chance to get to and from Cardiff on the same night without having to book a hotel room or drive. Cymru am byth!”
