UPDATE (22:00 on 04/07/2018) – New timings now available for 45212s move to Scotland on 05/07/2018, found below!
Steam locomotive No.45212 will be back in steam on the mainline and will be in Carlisle and Lockerbie on Wednesday 4th July 2018.
The Black 5 locomotive is on a light engine movement from the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway to Fort William.
The steam locomotive, towed by a diesel due to the hot weather steam ban, will depart the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway at approximately 10:08 am.
The railtour will then leave the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, bound for Fort William, where it will steam through Skipton (10:27), Settle Junction (10:44), Ribblehead (10:58) and Appleby (11:31) before stopping at Carlisle at 12:17.
After around a 5-minute break, the locomotive will depart Carlisle for Fort William, with stops at Lockerbie Down Loop (12:56), Beattock (13:37), Abington (14:12), Carstairs (14:58), Coatbridge Central (16:05) and Dalmuir (17:43) before arriving for a pause at Crianlarich at 20:46.
The locomotive will arrive at Fort William J.Yd T.C. at 23:22 after a long day on the mainline.
