The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway has announced that newly overhauled Ivatt No.41241 will be hauling passenger trains this week.
From today (9th July 2018) to Friday (13th July 2018), Ivatt No. 41241 will be hauling passenger trains on the five-mile-long heritage railway, which has been famous for its role in The Railway Children.
41241 was the star recently in the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway 50th Anniversary Gala and this is the first time the locomotive has hauled service trains since its overhaul was completed in June 2018.
Because of the current hot conditions, trains are being top and tailed this week, this will see Class 20 locomotive 20031 on the rear of the train.
Timetable
The railway is running a pink timetable all week, details of which can be found by clicking here.
Its great to see 41241 back in passenger service, we had a lot of fun at the KWVR 50th Gala, find out more information about our 6 Disc DVD set by clicking here.
