The Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway will be running driver for a fiver this summer, which allows you to fulfil your childhood dream and drive a steam train.
Every Tuesday from the 24th July 2018 until 28th August, you will be able to become a steam engine driver for just £5. They run every 15 minutes and will take you outside the engine shed. You will even get a certificate at the end.
Timeslots will be given to you at the booking office at Ravenglass, with them running from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm.

A brief history of Katie
Steam locomotive Katie was built by Sir Arthur Heywood in 1896, it arrived at the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway in 1916 and has recently returned to working order.
