The Switzerland Travel Centre has announced that a Swiss steam locomotive will be visiting the Snowdon Mountain Railway to celebrate 126 years since the trains were last together.

Switzerland Tourism and Switzerland Travel Centre will bring the fully operation locomotive to the Snowdon Mountain Railway, which is based in Llanberis, North Wales, from the Brienz Rothorn Railway in Switzerland.

To commemorate this once in a lifetime occasion, the Travel Centre has planned a range of activities starting on the 1st September 2018, these activities will last for four weeks and will include free rides.
