The Severn Valley Railway has announced that there has been a change to the visiting Colas Railfreight locomotive which will be visiting for the Spring Diesel Festival.

Unfortunately, the Class 60 that was due to attend has been withdrawn due being needed for traffic reasons.

Thankfully, Colas has come to the rescue, the freight operator will now be sending a Class 56 to the gala instead of Class 60.

With this in mind, this means that the following classes will be in operation at the gala: 20, 37, 42, 45, 47, 55, 56, 66, 73 and 88, as well as the home-fleet Classes; 08, 09, 14, 33, 42, 50 and 52

The Spring Diesel Festival is being held from the 17th-19th May 2018 and features an intensive timetable, which will be in operation throughout the gala. More information viewable on the RailAdvent Events Calendar.
