ScotRail has announced that it is adding extra carriages to its trains to help fans to travel to the Scottish Cup Final.
Celtic take on Motherwell in the William Hill Scottish Cup Final on Saturday 19th May. Kick off is at 3 pm.
ScotRail is adding the extra train carriages to trains between Glasgow Central and Mount Florida – this will be the closest stop for fans attending Hampden Park.
To ensure you arrive at the match on time, please allow extra time for your journey, as well as purchasing your ticket in advance.
Alcohol bans will be in place, so please bare this in mind when travelling.
What did the officials say?
ScotRail Alliance Head of Customer Experience Graham Heald said:
“We’re really looking forward to helping football fans head to Hampden to cheer on their team and see who lifts the final piece of silverware this season.
“We’re adding extra carriages to services to help customers get to the game, however, trains are expected to be very busy.
“Make sure to check your train times on our website or app and leave plenty of time for travel. Buying tickets in advance will also help reduce your queuing time.”
