The Brookside Miniature Railway has announced that they will be finding a new operator in 2018.

The railway, which is located inside Brookside Garden Centre in Poynton, Cheshire, has said the sad news is due to the current operator being given the notice to quit by the Garden Centre.

The railway will be running trains as normal, but the last train on the railway will run on the 30th September 2018, where the railway will then undergo a refurbishment.

Ten-ride tickets will still be valid until this date.

The 7.25″ railway has an authentic GWR station, as well as a full-size Midland Railway signal box – a museum also features so there is plenty of things to do!

If you would like a ride on the railway before it closes, the fares are £1.80, or 10 rides for £12.

What next?

More information will be announced soon, so please keep an eye on our news page for the latest.
