ScotRail has issued travel advice for passengers ahead of the Stirling Marathon on Sunday 29th April 2018.
Passengers are being advised to plan their journey and to consider their travel options.
Improvement works are taking place between Perth and Larbert on Sunday 29th April 2018, as a result, buses will replace trains between Glasgow Queen Street / Falkirk Grahamston and Perth.
However, due to road closures for the marathon, ScotRail is unable to run replacement transport to or from Bridge of Allan until 3:30 pm
Passengers travelling from Dunblane will board a mini shuttle bus services from the Police Station on Perth Road to Daniel Street to connect with the replacement buses for onward travel.
ScotRail will have extra staff at the station, as well as the replacement bus stops to help customers.
What did the officials say?
ScotRail Alliance Head of Customer Experience Graham Heald said:
“We’re doing everything we can to keep people moving during the Stirling Marathon while we carry out these vital improvement works.
“A shuttle bus will connect customers with the replacement buses in Dunblane, however, road closures mean that we won’t be able to provide any transport in Bridge of Allan until after the race finishes.
“Make sure to check your journey on our website or mobile app and if you are heading out, leave plenty of time for travel as journey times will be extended.”
