The Nene Valley Railway (NVR) has sadly announced today that they have postponed their Tornado 10 event.

Tornado

Most readers will know by now about Tornado’s mainline failure, with the engine taken to NVR for repair work. After discussions with the A1 Steam Locomotive Trust, the decision has been made to postpone the Tornado 10 event due to Tornado unlikely to be repaired in time. Latest news on Tornado’s progress can be found here

New dates

The NVR hope to still hold the event in late May, but no new dates have been confirmed yet. Any tickets purchased for the event will be accepted on the new dates.

The same goes for the Tornado Driving Experience course and Tornado 10 Fish and Chip trains, ticket holders for these two events will be contacted about new dates.

6th of May’s Paddington day will still be going ahead, with access to Tornado’s footplate and a chance to see Paddington himself.

The apologise for any inconvenience caused by the rescheduling and are working with the A1 Steam Locomotive Trust in order to speed up Tornado’s repairs.

If you would like a refund on your tickets, please contact Nene Valley Railway’s booking office on 01780 784444.
