The  have announced that Class 42 ‘Warship’ No. D832 “Onslaught” has arrived at Wirksworth, ahead of the line’s Diesel Locomotive Weekend.

About D832 “Onslaught”

D832 is one of only two remaining Class 42 ‘Warships’ and is based at .

The first class members appeared in 1958, being allocated to the Western Region.

Withdrawal of the class came early, as British Rail wanted all engines with hydraulic transmission to be withdrawn.

About the Diesel Locomotive Weekend
