The 76084 Locomotive Company Ltd has released a list of all components available for sponsorship which will be used in restoring British Railways (BR) Standard Class 4 (2-6-0) No. 76077.

Help in restoring 76084

Many components used in the restoration of 76084 belonged to fellow Standard 4 (2-6-0) 76077. With these components being made available to the 76084 Locomotive Company Ltd, 76084 was restored in 2013, with the engine capable of hauling trains on the mainline. The North Norfolk Railway has also supported the 76084 Locomotive Company Ltd in the restoration, leading to the engine being based on the Line.

Sponsoring Components for 76077

The time has now come where 76077 will need all components loaned for use on 76084 to be returned. Major components for 76077 are currently at the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway, where they have been painted and will be soon transported to Locomotive Maintenance Services, Loughborough, where they be restored to working order.

Some components have already been sponsored, but many more are available for sponsorship. The sooner components are sponsored, the sooner 76077 can be restored, the only Standard 4 (2-6-0) to have not steamed in preservation. Full listed of available components for sponsorship can be found here
