The North Tyneside Railway will be running demonstration freight trains with steam locomotives Peckett & Sons Ashington No.5 and Kitson A. No.5.

Peckett & Sons Ashington No. 5 will be busy hauling passenger trains and freight trains along the heritage line. Kitson A. No. 5 will be shunting and marshalling freight wagons around the yard.

The Stephenson Railway Museum opens at 11 am on the Thursday 15th February 2018. The first freight train arrives back at Middle Engine Lane at 11:10 am. Both steam engines will then be busy shunting carriages ready for the 11:30 am.

From 11:40 am until 12:40 pm, Kitson A. No. 5 will be carrying out shunting demonstrations before getting the freight train ready for its 2pm departure.
