Looking for something to do this February Half Term? Whether with your family, friends or yourself, here are a few preserved railways in the North East and North West England open this February Half Term.
North West
East Lancashire Railway
With a wide range of activities for children, also with the Spring Diesel Gala, the East Lancashire Railway is the perfect place for all ages this Half Term.
Children’s activities include children’s craft workshop 21sth), princess academy (22nd) and spring diesel gala (17th-18th). More information can be found here
Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway
The Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway is running trains to their blue timetable from the 10th to the 18th of February.
Running throughout the week and weekend, you will have plenty time to catch a ride. More information can be found here
Keighley & Worth Valley Railway
Running both weekends and weekdays to multiple timetables, the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway offers an enjoyable day out in the February Half Term. Paddington Bear will be making an appearance on the 14th and 15th. On top of this, green timetable (10th & 17th), blue timetable (11th & 18th) and pink timetable (12th, 13th & 16th). Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway
The Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway will be running trains to their green timetable from the 10th to the 18th of February. After a visit to the line, you could take a walk along the coastline and enjoy the views of the sea. More information can be found here.
North Yorkshire Moors Railway
The North Yorkshire Moors Railway will be running trains to their silver timetable between the 10th to the 18th of February. Starting you enjoy in Grosmont, you could travel the line to Whitby. From there you could explore this town with many different places to see and activities todo. More information can be found here
