Great Western Railway Tank No. 813 joins line-up for Bluebell’s Branch Line Gala

The Bluebell Railway has confirmed that Great Western Railway Tank No. 813 (Port Talbot Railway No. 26) is set to visit the line for their Branch Line Gala in May.

About 813

813 is owned by the GWR 813 Preservation Fund and based at the Severn Valley Railway (SVR).

At 118 Years old in 2018, 813 is the oldest running Locomotives at the SVR. The SVR has been 813’s home ever since the Fund purchased the engine.

The Locomotive has made many appearances on various heritage railways and centres throughout its preserved life.

‘s Branch Line Gala

2018’s Branch Line Gala takes place on Friday the 18th to Sunday the 20th of May. More information about the Gala will be released closer to the event.

    Will you please correct your statement from Port Talbot Railway Tank 813 to GWR 813. The loco was Port Talbot Railway 26. The GWR numbered her 813 in 1923.
