What did the officials say?
Alan Riley, Chiltern’s Interim Customer Services Director said “We run the timetable art competition with the aim of engaging with our community and encouraging the artistic interests of the children who live and study along with our line. The standard of artwork that was submitted was very high and it was wonderful to see Chiltern Railways represented through the eyes of so many talented kids.”
Deborah Franses Bean, Head Art at The Chalfonts Independent Grammar School said “I encourage pupils to enter art competitions to give them more confidence outside of the classroom. I remember as a child entering and being a runner-up or winner in a Blue Peter, Clarks shoes and Harrow county art competitions, this created such a confidence in me that I grew up to become an artist and always knew that this was my strength”.
