The Bluebell Railway has announced three diesel locomotives that are confirmed to attend their diesel gala.
Which Diesels?
The types of diesel confirmed to attend the gala are:
- Class 45 ‘Peak’ No.45041 “Royal Tank Regiment” (BR Blue)
- Class 46 ‘Peak’ No.D182 ” (BR Blue)
- Class 31 No.31271 “Stratford 1840-2001” (Trainload Construction)
None of these three have visited the Bluebell Railway, making this gala the first opportunity for enthusiasts to capture their first visit to the railway in preservation.

Just a few corrections to your article if we may. We’ll be using three 6-coach sets, not 3 and 6 coach sets (with the 12-coach train in late afternoon on Friday and Saturday).
The evening trains are on Saturday, not Sunday.
