GBRF has made a start on their newly acquired diesel locomotive, a class 66 No. 66782, which will see the locomotive gain GBRF livery branding.
The work is on track to be completed in three weeks time.
66782 will then be performing freight journeys up and down the country providing everyone with their items of shopping, materials etc!
The work is being undertaken at Eastleigh’s Arlington Works.
History of Class 66
British Rail class 66 locomotives are a diesel-electric locomotive which operates in the UK. Class 66 locomotives were developed from the Class 59 locomotives. The first 66 arrived in the UK in 1998 and was taken to Derby for testing. Ever since they have been a popular sight around the UK on various freight movements.
