The Bluebell Railway has almost completed work at Poleay Bridge after many days of busy activity by the Infrasture Team over the last three weeks.
The last load of ballast was laid around the new panels on the 21st November 2017.
The Tamper then made two passes across the new formation to correct the settlement or any small amount of misalignment.
Final touches are now being added, such as the new decking and wooden handrails on the eastern side
The metal handrails on the western side have been refurbished with new brackets fitted and a new coat of paint.
A successful job by the team and the trains were running by the weekend and in time for the trains to steam into Santa’s Wonderland.
