Booked up for Santa steam train on christmas eve what a terrible day .Ride on train for 15mins then sat on train for 2 hours waiting to see santa no market as advertised so you could go to the toilet or get a coffee no carols or anything that would let you know it was Christmas. My granson age 2years and 4 months was so bored as were we.The hightlight was seeing santa give him a present.I will not be returning or recommending this to my friends if we had known that there would be nothing to do we would not have done this on Christms eve Around trip of 90 miles what a complete waste of time you need to up your game.
Hi Nichola,
It doesn’t sound like you had the best of days out.
This event was one a few railway related events that we reported about in the run up to Christmas.
Have you contacted the railway directly? I am sure they would welcome your feedback.
Their contact details can be found on this page…
