Great Western Railway have introduced a new Off Peak Return fare from Banbury, Oxfordshire, to London Paddington which will save customers over £10!
Yes, the new fare will save customer £13.50. Though customers will still be in London by 10:30 in the morning.
The current ‘Any Permitted Route’ ticket is valid on via the Chiltern Mainline and costs £40.50.
The new GWR ticket via Reading costs jus £27. Enabling a cheaper ticket and only a 10 minute longer journey.
With this ticket, customers will board the 08:55 CrossCountry service from Banbury to Reading. They will then change to a non-stop GWR service to London Paddington, arriving at 10:23.
What did the officials say?
GWR Head of Communications Dan Panes said “As we go through network-wide transformation, we want to benefit every region that we serve. Reducing these off-peak fares is a real win-win for customers who can travel earlier and for less money. With regular services from Reading to London Paddington, including our new Intercity Express Trains – and from early 2018 our new Electrostars, it means journeys to the capital are still easy and convenient.“
