Earlier this week, the group who is overhauling Bulleid Pacific 35005 Canadian Pacific released the latest news regarding the steam locomotive.

History of 35005

Can Pac was built in 1941, and was later rebuilt in May 1959.

The locomotive was built at Eastleigh Works for the southern region.

35005 was unfortunately withdrawn from service in October 1965.

Can Pac moved to Eastleigh Works by rail in 2011 and is currently undergoing this current restoration.

Progress on the overhaul of Canadian Pacific

Last month, a milestone was reached when ‘Can Pac’s’ frame was put back onto its driving wheels.
