Hornby have announced that steam locomotive SECR Wainwright H will be visiting the Warley Model Railway Exhibition from the Bluebell Railway.
Yes that means that Hornby will be busy transporting this beautiful locomotive up the M40 to the NEC in Birmingham in time for all of you to see it on the 100ft long Hornby stand at the show.
The Wainwright H Class will be travelling to the NEC on the 23rd November. If you get any pictures of this locomotive, tag #HornbyHClassRoadTrip onto your picture and Hornby (and us!) will share it!
Please be safe and do not trespass onto land… Do not stand or walk on the Motorway!
Wainwright H Class
No. 263 was introduced in 1904 and clocked up over 1.8 million miles in its 59 year mainline career. Withdrawn in January 1964, it took just 10 months for the locomotive to be preserved (November 1964). The locomotive is popular locomotive on the Bluebell Railway and is often seen pulling passenger services out of Horsted Keynes.
