MerseyRail, who operate trains in Liverpool and the surrounding area, have announced changes to their timetable.

The changes take affect from today (Monday 16th October 2017).

These changes which has been announced will be made to the Chester line.

Changing the timetable is to improve the train performance as a result of busier trains and leaf fall.

Changes involve:

• Trains leaving Chester will depart earlier than the current timetable and will arrive in Liverpool later than timetabled.
• Trains leaving Liverpool will depart at the same time but will arrive in Chester later.
