Hornby have release two new locomotives to its range of model trains, the locomotives are Class 71 locomotives.

The Class 71 comes in two colours. BR Class 71 ‘E5018’ comes in British Rail Green and BR Class 71 ‘E5005’ comes in Pre TOPS BR Blue.

The class 71 is an electric locomotive in the configuration of Bo-Bo and was built at Doncaster Works between 1958 and 1960.

Class 71s were built for mixed traffic trains in Southern Regions Kent Coast line.
