Grand Central Rail, who operate trains between Bradford/Sunderland and London Kings Cross, are appearing in the new version of EA Sports Fifa video game, FIFA 18.
Grand Central Rail, who are the official travel partner of Huddersfield Town, are featuring in the game for the very first town.
It comes after Huddersfield Town’s promotion to the Premier League. This meant that their home stadium, the John Smiths Stadium, now features in the popular video game.
EA Sports have introduce replica shirts in the stands to look as if a fan was there on match day, included in this ‘realism’ is the LED boards around the pitch.
Just as in real life, fans would see Grand Centrals LED board advertisements, players of the game can now see them at home too!
Richard McClean, who is Managing Director of Grand Central Rail, said: “We are pleased to be included in the new FIFA game. This will give us visibility among new exciting sports audiences. We are very proud of our partnership with Huddersfield Town and the chance it gives us to engage with the community along our route. We look forward to fans of Huddersfield Town and Grand Central alike enjoying such a realistic game experience.”
