This weekend (14/15th October 2017), the East Lancs Railway are holding their annual Autumn Steam Gala. Two visiting steam locomotives planned to be in steam.
An intensive timetable will be in operation, with up to 5 steam locomotives in steam throughout the weekend.
Freight and passenger trains will be in operation throughout the weekend, with some double headers steaming up the line.
Below is the information of locomotives which will be in operation – please be aware that these locomotives will be Subject to Availability on the day.
Steam Locomotives
Visiting the East Lancs Railway this weekend are:
- A4 No. 60009 ‘Union of South Africa’ (courtesy of John Cameron)
- Hunslet No. 2890 ‘Douglas’ (from Ribble Steam Railway)
These two locomotives will be joining the home fleet of:
- Light Bulleid No. 34092 ‘City of Wells’
- Crab No. 13065
- A Class No. 52322
Fares
There is a special fare system in operation for the weekend. Prices for the weekend are:
One Day Rover
- Adult – £24
- Concession – £21.50
- Child – £15
- Family – £63
Two Day Rover
- A – £42
- Con – £38
- Ch – £27
- Fam- N/A
