Lichfield station, which is ran by Train Operating Company London Midland, has received a top award in the Heart of England in Bloom 2017.
The judges have said the area is worthy of recognition because of the colourfullness.
Th planting of new flowers is part of a process which is ongoing on improving the station, which has previously had problems with vandals.
One of the key elements of the display is the Lichfield Catherdral – a local landmark. This has been constructed with wood and donated by Marshdale Construction.
London Midland has been supported by Blooming Lichfield with hanging baskets being installed.
The tourist association and Lichfield District Council has also had planters installed.
Faye Lambert, head of community rail at London Midland, added: “This station project has been a true partnership effort, with support from the station team and Property Services, Carlisle Cleaning Services, even Ben’s mum Linda came along to help with the planting. This award and the judges’ comments on the station displays are a great reminder of what can be achieved when people work together.”
