Jubilee 45690 ‘Leander’ hauled the North Wales Coast Express on the 23rd July 2017. The Railtour was ran from Liverpool Lime Street to Holyhead and return.
Part way into the journey, the supporting Class 47 failed so Leander hauled it without a support loco for the rest of the journey…. which was great for the 1 in 75 out of Holyhead!
Firstly, we see the Jubilee arriving at Llandudno Junction in the lovely mid-day sunshine. A quick dash over to Conwy and we see her powering past the Town Walls and approaching Conwy Station.
We then take a break from proceedings as we enjoy the sunshine until late afternoon as we arrive at Holyhead to see Leander tackle the 1 in 75 out of the station before it sets off on the journey east back to Liverpool.
