This weekend (24th, 25th & 26th June 2019) you can celebrate 20 years of Harry Potter with the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
Monday 26th June marks 20 years since the first book was published, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.
For the first film, scenes were shot at Goathland station on the NYMR, which became Hogsmeade station on the Hogwarts Express.
The railway will be marking the anniversary with an offer for 4-15 year olds.
Any children dressed as the favourite characters, including Ron, Harry and Hermione will be able to travel for free to Goathland from either Pickering or Whitby when accompanied with a full fare paying Adult.
Each child in fancy dress will also receive a commemorative badge.
The shop and café at Goathland will have a great selection of Harry Potter memorabilia an serving tasty treats and themed food.
