This Saturday (8th April 2017), the Ffestiniog Railway will be holding their annual fundraising train, ‘The Snowdonian’.
The aim of the train is fundraise money towards Phase 5 of the Welsh Highland Railway Reopening. This includes Caernarfon Station Redevelopment, Shed Renewals and other projects.
The special train includes a return trip on the full 80 mile line from Caernarfon to Blaenau Ffestiniog, Via Beddgelert, Porthmadog and Tanybwlch.
An unusual array of locomotives are in action on the train, with double headers likely!

Below is last years ‘The Snowdonian’, which saw Palmerston, Prince, David Lloyd George, Linda, Blanche and visiting Darjeeling 19B all take charge of the excursion.
