The preparations for the first gala are under way at Epping Ongar Railway. The Spring Diesel Gala is set to be held on the 22/23rd April 2017 and the EOR have just announced their first visitor.

Class 20 for the Epping Ongar Railway

Courtesy of the Class 20 Locomotive Society, Class 20 ‘D8001’ will be arriving for the Spring Diesel Gala in April and it is hoped for the locomotive to stay at the Epping Ongar Railway for the best part of 2017.

The same locomotive was announced for the September gala, but was withdrawn with a problem with the braking system.
