No. 34081 Battle of Britain Class 92 Squadron has made its loaded test runs last weekend, this is the first loaded movements in 8 years as the overhaul nears completion.

The loco is painted in BR Malachite & Sunshine Livery (The only operational Light Pacific in the UK to be so), the loco made its first movements up and down Wansford Yard at the Nene Valley Railway.

92 Squadron passed its loaded test run, and further test runs are being completed in preparation for her first year in steam. 34081 is hoped to be steam ready for the start of the 2017 season.

92 Squadron at Bulleid 50

Recently announced by the Nene Valley Railway, the Bulleid 50 event will be celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the final services of Steam Trains on British Railways Southern Region. 92 Squadron is set to be the main feature of the gala and will be joined by visiting Battle of Britain Steam Loco 34053 Sir Keith Park, who will be visiting from the Severn Valley Railway (Recently featured on RailAdvent at the KWVR Autumn Steam Spectacular)
