In this weeks Throwback Thursday episode, we steam back to February Half Term in 2016 as we see Postman Pat and Jess The Cat visit the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway.
A special timetable was in operation and Steam Locomotive 4F No. 43924 and Railbus M79964 were running up and down the line between Keighley and Oxenhope taking excited children and adults to go and see the famous postman who was stationed at Keighley due to the inclement weather.
Locomotives in service for Postman Pats visit to the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway
British Railways (Midland Railway) 4F 0-6-0 43924 was restored at the KWVR when it was taken out of service in 1987, it was put back into service in 2011 and has been a favourite for pulling trains up and down the branch line since.
The Railbus is a popular sight on the railway during the less-busy periods of the year. It is also popular on morning runs and also gives a great view of the railway from a different perspective. You can also the driver working in the cab!
