Episode 50 of our ‘Throwback Thursday’ series takes us back to 2015 when we visited Gypsy Wood Park, which is farm park with a model railway and miniature train, based in Dinas, near Caernarfon, North Wales.

The park has something for everyone with the extensive model railway with a wide variety of locos and designs. The farm park has a wide variety of animals Goats, Pigs and Cows, birds and smaller animals like Guinea Pigs.

Also available in the Model Railway section of the park, is a voluntary guide walk where you can go ‘behind the scenes’ of the model railway and see how the railway is controlled.

The park also has a small miniature train. The loco you will be behind is Woody, the loco is a battery powered ‘steam’ engine. The railway takes you on a short journey through the farm, don’t forget to shout DRAGON if you see one on your journey 🙂
