The has previously raised £9000 towards their extension plan towards the quarry. The discussions between the railway and the land owner has gone on for longer than expected – the railway has decided it will invest in their current length of line in preparation for the upcoming season in 2017.

The PQR are planning on having more running days in 2017, previously, the ticket office and coffee shop were in the workshop / loco shed… due to new engineering projects (Jubilee 1897), this wont be available next year.

The Railway is looking to raise £5000 to buy a new station building at Felin Fawr, plans have also been put in place to build new platforms and car park. The PQR will also be carrying on funding to build toilet and washing facilities.

The container that the railway is looking to buy is a 32ft x 10ft container which has been made as a wooden cladded building. The container will be able to be moved at a future date when the railway expands.
