Mad Bess and the Ruislip Lido Railway

Mad Bess is 2–4–0 saddle tank locomotive built by the Society between 1986 and 1998.

The loco is based on Blanche from the Ffestiniog Railway and joins the other 6 Diesel Locomotives based at the Ruislip Lido Railway.

The Ruislip Lido Railway is Britain’s longest 12 inch gauge railway, based in Ruislip, West London. At over 1 mile long, the railway runs from Willow Lawn Station to Woody Bay (For the sheds and Lido).
