This weeks Throwback Thursdays episode sees us steam back to July 2015 as we visit the and see Winifred preparing for the days duty at Llanuwchllyn sheds.

All trains start and finish there journeys at Llanuwchllyn, and there is a café and shop. Llanuwchllyn is the main station on the railway.

Winifred

Winifred was built in 1885 by the Hunslet Engine Company for the Penrhyn Quarry Railway. The locomotive was later transported to America, after the quarry changed to diesel traction. However, Winifred was purchased in 2012, and brought home to Wales. Following completion of an extensive overhaul at the BLR workshops Winifred returned to steam in the spring of 2015.
