As you may have been aware, at the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway there has been a weight
restriction on the Ingrow River bridge for the last 12 months. This restriction has stopped any locomotives from visiting the railway or resident loco’s going to visit other railways.
This has meant that there was no option for visiting loco’s for Gala Days etc.
However the good news is that the bridge has now been assessed to carry 120 tonnes weight, and the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway have annouced that movement of railway engines can now resume, and that the planning of such manouvres can now be considered.
We look forward to any annoucements which will no doubt be made in the months ahead.
