This weekend (13/14/15th May 2016) the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway are holding a 1940s Weekend as Haworth village is visited by thousands of visitors, mostly in costume, fill the streets of the village.
The event supports the Soldiers’, Sailors’ and Air-force Benevolent Fund (SSAFA). The proceeds going to Forces’ Charities for the benefit of members of our armed forces.
To see the wonderful time that all the visitors have, the spirit that the event generates and just how much time and effort groups of 1940s enthusiasts dedicate to recreating the Britain of the 1940’s, why not go along this weekend!
