Over the coming Bank Holiday Weekend, most of the heritage railways are holding some special events.Here at RailAdvent,  we have picked out just a few of them. The first is the East Lancs Railway with their 1940s Weekend, which is being held from the 28 – 30th May 2016.

Saturday 28th May 2016

• Lancaster Bomber Flypast – Bury Station – Times to be confirmed
• Replica Spitfire Display – Bury Transport Museum – 10am till 4pm
• The Lancashire Belle (Music and Dancing) – Ramsbottom Station – 10am till 4pm
• Camp Roanoke: American Camp Display – Irwell Vale – 10am till 4pm
• German Field Hospital  – Rawtenstall Station – 10am till 4pm

Sunday 29th May 2016

• Cream Teas in the Observation Saloon – On-Board Train – 10am till 4pm
• German Ticket Inspectors – On-Board Train – 10am till 4pm
• G.I. Jive: Tea Dance – Bury Transport Museum – 11am till 1pm
• The Hotsie Totsies (Music) – Rawtenstall Station – 10am till 4pm

Monday 30th May 2016

• Vintage Craft Activities – Bury Transport Museum – 10am till 4pm
